Choose Between Two Options
Plaza Theatre has been a part of the Calgary community for more than eight decades. Housed within a converted garage, the theatre opened in 1935, back when shows cost just 10 cents and carrier pigeons disrupted screenings more often than cell phones. Today, behind its stucco facade, Plaza Theatre entertains guests with a lineup of unique movies, including independent releases and cult classics that frequently fill the 370-seat space to its capacity. Visitors don't just come for the shows, however. They also come for the popcorn, which is made fresh daily and enhanced with Plaza's own secret-recipe topping.
