The golf course was an average course where it needs a lots work on some greens and fairways. The fairways were mostly crabgrass and weeds that was mowed. The course layout was fun where there were dog legs (left and right) and a few elevated greens. Some fairways have ditches that we didn’t know until our tee shots fell in. For the price we paid we will definitely come back and play again
First time golfing this course. The staff (Golf shop & Restaurant) was so friendly and welcoming. The greens were challenging. The course is nice. The fairways could be groomed a little better. Maybe we hit it on a non mowing day. Overall, nice course. Excellent customer service. Go check it out.

About Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club
Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club was established in 1926, but its course has undergone multiple facelifts since then. In 1960, it was expanded to 18 holes and re-designed by renowned architect Bob Baldock. Then, in 2006, larger putting greens were installed using premium turf.
All that work has retained the facility's reputation as one of Sacramento Valley's hidden gems, and has even caught the eye of Golf Digest, which has placed Plumas amongst the country's top courses on multiple occasions. Golfers, meanwhile, encounter the the course's beauty while attempting to overcome its challenges, including rows of mature oaks that guard the smallish greens and often demand answers to three riddles before allowing anyone to pass.
