Disappointed.....Took the ferry on Sept 21 and was told my 4 Groupons had expired days before and had to pay an additional $70. It seems to me a Groupon should be honored until the end of season (Sept 28)and should be clear on Capt Johns website when they reduce their schedule to weekends only.

Go to the pier nearest Plymouth Rock, not near the restaurants. Sit on the port side (left) if you want to see the tip of Cape Cod coming into Provincetown. All of those seats outside were in the shade in the morning with a breeze to cool you off. All good seats were taken early. They load your bikes on and off for you if you take them. AM was smooth process. PM was annoying with long line for the Boston ferry which takes off right before ours, no seating and hot. But I would do this again in a heartbeat vs drive. Overall good and recommend.

I take the ferry once every summer for a trip to P-town. What a relief not having to deal with Cape traffic! It's always an enjoyable ride. My trip tip: Bring cash for refreshments & snacks.

About Provincetown Whale Watch

Discover the great whales of the North Atlantic during a four-hour Provincetown whale watching adventure that departs only in July and August. Marine mammal sightings include humpback, finback, minke, right, and pilot whales. These majestic creatures can be up to 70 feet long and weigh 65 tons! As we depart MacMillan Wharf, your naturalist, a professional marine biologist, provides an informative description of the whales you’re likely to see as well as commentary on the day’s activities and is available to answer any questions you might have. This program has proven to be of such outstanding educational value that it now serves as part of the science curriculum in many schools. Enjoy the cruise on one of our two open decks or lounge in our climate-controlled cabin. Your comfort is assured with complete galley service offering food and alcoholic beverages.
