PMT Dance Studio

At PMT Dance Studio, director, Guinness Book World Record Holder, and Clio Award Winner Pavan M. Thimmaiah along with the studio’s group of instructors teach children and adults of all skill levels different types of dance in small group classes. The students learn not only dancing fundamentals and new moves, but also self-discipline and professionalism. The smaller class sizes afford instructors the opportunity to work one-on-one with the students to teach them these skills.

Step Up 2 dancer Cricket teaches students House, a footwork-based street dance that features rhythmic upper-body movements. Lara Duncan teaches jazz with a sassy twist, and has, herself, performed on The Today Show. High-energy hip-hop classes are also offered by Sarah Burke, who employs her own fresh approach to the style.

After classes, dancers can show off their skills for friends, family members, and agents disguised as smiling grandmothers during student showcases and the Urban Renewal freestyle battle. Instructors also lead a performance workshop program and the nationally reviewed PMT Seasonal Showcase Company, which performs dozens of shows each year.

Customer Reviews

If you don't dance then most likely you'll be the worst dancer in the entire class, which is okay because no one cares. Everyone is either looking at the teacher or themselves. Just push through it and do the best you can and have fun with it. The teachers are very open and friendly and willing to help/talk after classes.

Amazing experience...however, it was definitely kind of crowded. Sarah (instructor) was awesome and energetic...and she broke things down to make everyone feel comfortable. I had a lot of fun!!!

Its always best to come in early, and do your research before taking a class, it always best to familiarize yourself. The music is blasted loud which I enjoy because you get into the dancing mood. The building is under renovations, so worry about the appearance. Other than that, the staff and instructors were friendly. Its just all about having fun and learning and that's definitely the atmosphere that this place represents.
