What You'll Get
Before pole-dancing classes, flirty fitness was limited to holding hands with a Stairmaster or romancing Jack LaLanne. Learn more seductive exercises with today's Groupon: for $22, you get six one-hour pole-dance fitness classes at Pole Play Diva Fitness Studio (a $120 value).
At Pole Play Diva Fitness Studio, experienced instructors provide encouragement while guiding dancers of all skill levels through fun pole-based fitness classes. Teachers cap attendance at five students to guarantee participants have their own pole to practice on instead of taping their own together out of wrapping-paper rolls. Pole 101 classes cover basic pole-dancing moves that simultaneously burn calories, develop upper-body strength, and teach foundational techniques, which students can then build off of during advanced coaching in Pole 102 meetings. The Chair Fit class shows students how to step and strut around a chair to create an alluring dance routine. Each lesson has a suggested wardrobe, and pole pupils should wear shorts with a fair amount of exposed skin to help to grip and acclimate poles to human contact.
