Go-karts allow people to experience the thrill of driving without having to hear radio ads for pungent soaps or look at four empty seats that remind them of the time someone stole their family of mannequins. Keep thrills pure with today's Groupon to Pole Position Raceway. This Groupon is valid at the Corona and Murrieta locations. Choose between the following options:
• For $29, you get three Arrive & Drive races Sunday–Friday (up to a $59.85 value).
• For $29, you get three Arrive & Drive races on Saturdays (up to a $59.85 value).
Speedsters strap themselves into Formula EK20 karts in Pole Position Raceway's state-of-the art facility, which boasts a quarter-mile road course for competitive indoor racing. Crank speedometers up to 45 mph during three Arrive & Drive races in karts equipped with high-performance electric motors, which, unlike their gas-powered counterparts, emit no exhaust fumes, allow for rapid acceleration, and plant a tree after each finish. Up to 12 racers at the Corona location and eight racers at the Murrieta location simultaneously zip around the track, which challenges intuitive-handling skills with its sharp turns and seduces lead feet with its open straightaways. At the end of each race, a high-tech timing-and-scoring system, SpeedSheet, configures data to inform each roadster of their fastest lap time, average lap time, overall race results, and the neatness of their tread-mark handwriting. Youngsters who can reach a height of at least 48 inches without the use of stilts may climb into Formula EK10 karts, which reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour.

About Pole Position Raceway
In 2005, Jason Williams and Ken Faught assembled a team of experienced racers and designers to create the driving experience at Pole Position Raceway. Williams, a motocross racer since 1984, and Faught, a three-time land-speed record holder at the Bonneville Salt Flats, recruited professional drivers Kurt Busch and Jeremy McGrath to help their engineers. They reimagined every detail of the track from the ground up, creating indoor courses that balance the grip of asphalt with the swervy fun of polished, concrete slick tracks. Pole Position Raceway's Formula EK20 Pro Karts rumble over the track powered by 18-horsepower motors (nearly triple that of average gas karts), which reach speeds capable of up to 45 miles per hour without filling the temperature-controlled arenas with fumes.
After the first Pole Position Raceway opened in Corona, California, it soon spawned 14 locations stretching to the Atlantic. Technicians maintain the fleet via handheld computers, and top drivers are regularly sent out to evaluate karts’ handling and reading comprehension. During races, up to 12 guests compete in contests that last about 10 minutes.
