During each 60-minute Intro to Pole session, students learn and practice foundational skills. They simultaneously manipulate silks and strengthen cores during Intro to Silks, which is suitable for students of all experience levels. Pole Up Fitness and Dance Studio’s owner, Laura, guides her all-female staff armed with a master's of education degree in health, exercise, and sports science and her passion for fitness. Laura’s handpicked fleet of lifelong dancers and fitness pros imbues students with inner confidence through a series of sassy fitness classes, some of which employ 14-foot poles or ceiling-suspended aerial silks. Group fitness classes include Back It Up!, Booty Camp, and Turbo Kick, high-energy cardio workouts that attempt to torch calories, in addition to sensual pole dancing, which lets students use body weight as resistance to tone their upper bodies.
Guests can soak up specifics in the immersive workshops that lead students through a variety of unique maneuvers such as belly dancing and hula hoop dancing. For fun nights out, groups can rent the studio for private parties that include instructor-led pole or chair dancing.
