Poletential offers "fitness with a twirl," teaching anyone searching for an atypical aerobic workout the fundamentals, alongside more-advanced maneuvers, of fitness pole dancing. Introductory classes cater to those with an inexplicable draw to stop signs and totem poles by imparting transitional moves and a few basic pole tricks during the 1.5-hour session. Each student of the vertical beam will train on her own pole and in a relaxed and supportive setting with no more than nine fellow fitness fans. Dancers are encouraged to wear stilettos (supplied by the studio) and whatever clothes they feel most comfortable in, from workout shorts to an oversized Batman cape, as long as legs are kept bare to properly contact the pole. Poletential gives students the freedom of interpretation and style, allowing their choreography to be sensual, artistic, or focused on developing upper-body and core strength.
Poletential's staff includes instructors trained in dance-based fitness, ballet, and jazz dance, though each found her niche with pole dancing. The 1,600-square-foot studio features 10 high-quality, 20-foot-tall poles, permanently installed and designed for both rigorous dance-offs and an intense American Gladiators physical challenge against Elektra.
Valid for new clients only. Poletential classes are for women only.

About Poletential
Owner and instructor Christina Kish spent 15 years applying the skills she learned earning an M.B.A. to work in high-tech marketing and co-founding the DVD-delivery service NetFlix. Despite her achievements in business fields, she feels an even greater passion coaching others to meet their fitness goals and gain personal confidence. She now has a team of enthusiastic instructors who build students' flexibility and endurance in dynamic pole and aerial fabric-based workouts.
The 3,200-square-foot studio sports four aerial fabric, two corde lisse, and 12 aerial hammock mounts for indoor dangling and ten permanent, 20-foot poles for students to practice movement-based tricks, dance moves, and crime-fighting techniques. Instructors guide students through mid-air acrobatics on poles and aerial ropes, or blend yoga and Pilates into aerial hammock training. While most of Poletential's classes cater to women, aerial and power pole sessions also allow men to escape gravity's crushing bear hugs.
