What You'll Get
If foam noodles can be found floating on the surface of almost every pool, think how many perfectly salted meatballs must be at the bottom of the ocean. Discover the sea's sunken treats with today's Groupon to Pompano Dive Center at the Sands Harbor Marina in Pompano Beach. Choose from the following options:
- For $20, you get an introductory snorkeling trip with mask, snorkel, and fins for up to four hours (a $40 value). Trips depart every afternoon on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
- For $169, you get an Open Water PADI Scuba Certification course, which includes books, equipment, classroom instruction, pool time, and four boat dives (a $349 value).
- For $119, you get a specialty course, including Night Diving, Navigator, Wreck Diver, and Deep Diver. All courses include books, review, and three to four boat dives. For some courses, customers may need to supply their own materials, such as compasses, lights, and chemical sticks (a $239 value).
Pompano Dive Center boasts a five-star rating from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, safely securing its crew to instruct, train, and transport both beginning and expert divers. Three times a week, dive sensei board the Sea Dog Diver Vessel and equip beginning snorkel students with the mask, snorkel, and fins needed to skirt along the Atlantic’s surface like a human-porpoise hybrid. From this vantage, snorkelers will spy on near-to-shore sites that begin in just 20 feet of water, beholding a natural three-tiered reef system and, if they’re lucky, a rare kick line of sequin-spangled show manatees.
More experienced divers can acquire Open Water PADI dive certification, or select from a smorgasbord of specialty courses. Learn to find your way with a compass during a Navigator course, or become a Night Diver to paddle through darkness guided by two lights and a chemical stick—clients must acquire these and other materials on their own before each course. Pompano Dive Center’s scuba scholars focus on both classroom study and active dive instruction, scribing a well-rounded syllabus of dive safety, underwater adventure, and out-rollerblading giant squid.

About Pompano Dive Center
Boasting a five-star certification from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, Pompano Dive Center's seasoned staff enlighten aquatic adventurers during comprehensive snorkeling and scuba-diving courses. The crew welcomes divers into a practice swimming pool or aboard their custom-built boat, Sea Dog Diver. The vessel departs into South Florida's beautiful waters in search of marine wildlife, wrecks, and schools of fried fish sticks. The team helps pupils gain PADI certification and teach specialty courses such as underwater photography and freediving, the art of diving with only a single breath. The staff also mans a retail shop, which carries the full ScubaPro line and enough wetsuits to clothe all of Atlantis's top businessmen.
