Pier 106 Seafood Tavern

Pier 106 Seafood Tavern's nautical atmosphere sets the stage for marine dining with a model ship at the helm and a 1,300-square-foot patio overlooking the Milwaukee River. The restaurant responds to the siren call of the sea by serving up fresh fish daily with an ever-changing menu. Mahi mahi and salmon entrees sweeten themselves up with mango gastrique and beurre blanc, while whitefish sits back and enjoys getting grilled on a cedar plank. A bounty of burgers competes for most creative toppings with options for avocado, gruyere and mushroom, and memories of burgers past, each stacked on Miller Bakery’s pretzel buns or toasted ciabatta. Pier 106 Seafood Tavern also sponsors dinner cruises that travel out onto Lake Michigan and serve multi-course dinners.

Customer Reviews

It was a fairly busy Thursday night, only a few tables were empty at 6:30. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back...dark woods...mirrors...some marine type decorations. This was our second visit and both times the service was great and servers were friendly. As for appetizers, the calamari and crab and avocado tian were delicious...the flatbread was on the bland side and soggy so I'd pass on it. As for entrees, the rib eye was delicious...well marbled and tasty...decent size (12oz or so) and done a perfect medium rare. The mashed potatoes, button mushrooms and crispy onion strings were great sides that came with it. The seafood stuffed salmon was moist throughout and crispy on the bottom served on top of some sauteed zucchini. The scallops were seared perfectly and were hot and moist. Although we haven't had a sandwich, the ones we've seen are decent sized and look good. As for desserts, the classic cheesecake slice was creamy with a nice graham cracker crust. They also have daily specials...tonight's entree featured a lobster tail...I believe oysters for an ap and I heard something about a cherries foster for dessert. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed both of our visits to Pier 106 and look forward to coming back. The entree prices run $20-$29 and if you've been to other restaurants, you'll see that for the quality of food you get Pier 106 is a pretty good value.

Great menu which appeals to any seafood lover ! Had a nice waiter and enjoyed the cocktails too . Can imagine this place is great during summer on the water. The crume brûlée cheesecake is not to be missed.
