What You'll Get
Master yogis recognize the detoxifying benefits of sweating, which is why the best yoga instructors teach class at the edges of volcanoes or during high-school reunions. Instead of adding to stress, banish it with today's Groupon: for $40, you get a five-class punch card from Portland Power Yoga (an $80 value).
Portland Power Yoga's experienced instructors stretch and tone bodies during Power Vinyasa and Yin yoga classes in a heated, detoxifying studio. The All Levels session focuses on healthy alignment through 90 minutes of heated Vinyasa flow, and the Hour of Power class condenses that same flow into an intense 60 minutes. During Yin yoga, patrons hold poses for up to five minutes, elongating appendages and finding inner peace by connecting the dots between a yoga buddy’s freckles.
Flow through rejuvenating asanas atop the wood floor of the studio as natural light floods through the room's large windows, brightening the white walls. After a skin-drenching session, take advantage of the studio's showers or initiate an impromptu water fight with the studio’s available Vita Coco coconut water. Portland Power Yoga's Sevateers (interns) personally assist bodies during 9 of the more than 25 classes scheduled each week.

About Portland Power Yoga
A mural of a radiant sun painted in oranges, reds, and yellows covers one of the walls at Portland Power Yoga, mimicking the warmth of the heated room where yoga instructors show ranks of students the proper way to extend their arms as they crouch on their mats. The heat helps facilitate deeper stretching and detoxification as students flow through sequences in 90-minute Basics, All Levels, or Intermediate classes. Instructors condense the same experience into a shorter session during Hour of Power classes and help groups hold extended poses in Yin Yoga, awakening students' connective tissues and convincing nearby deer that they’re actually statues. In addition to regular classes, the studio hosts community workshops with guest instructors and often works in tandem with the bodywork experts at Hara Holistic Health.
