From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., guests embark on an aquatic jaunt around downtown Portland during the Friday Early Escape cruise as live bands perform signature tunes. On July 19, White Rhino Marimba grooves through a dance-friendly songs from Zimbabwe and West Africa. Cody Beebe and The Crooks man the deck on August 2 to regale revelers with a sound that’s been described as “Steve Earle meets Pink Floyd.” During the performances, participants can swill sips from three full bars or snack from a bistro plate for an additional cost. See the full schedule of bands.

In the two-hour sightseeing cruise, passengers gently glide up and down the river, with highlights called out thanks to the captain’s narration. Guests may hear curious trivia about Ross and Toe Islands, or learn more about the monarch butterflies that govern Butterfly Island.
