Urban Tellers takes theater back to its most primal roots -- performers standing alone on a stage, painting worlds using only their words and charisma. Unscripted and unafraid, this stirring storytelling show features ordinary people from the Portland community, who relate the funny, touching and often surprising tales of your neighbors, coworkers and friends. These stories have been discovered, crafted and honed in Portland Story Theater's Art of Personal Narrative workshops. Before you drink in these fascinating true anecdotes about difficult choices, transformational life experiences and hilarious family interactions, come early for a drink and social hour at Alberta Abbey, accompanied by the tender notes of live jazz from house band Bamberger-Engle-Hines-Eave. Catch this June show, which closes out the Urban Tellers season until October!
This show is hosted by Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy.
There will be sandwiches and a bar, offering wine, beer and soft drinks for purchase.
