Stories, not shots, fuel truly Irish celebrations of St. Patrick's Day. Be they hilarious, daring, spooky, sad or downright magical, stories -- told straight or wound around the notes of a lovely song -- are at the heart of every Irish party. Now Luck of the Irish from the Portland Story Theater showcases the best of Gaelic gab during an evening of tales, songs, dance, music and raffle prizes. Hosted by dancer, singer and musician Brian Ó hAirt, Luck of the Irish features storytellers Beth Rogers, and Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy (PST founders), as well as traditional Irish music by Innisfree with Brenda Scearcy and Jim Loewenherz.
Show runs approximately two hours plus intermission.
