What You'll Get
The Screwtape Letters is a provocative and wickedly funny theatrical adaptation of C.S. Lewis' novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view. The national tour of the production comes to Portland after wildly successful runs in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Set in an eerily stylish office in the depths of hell, the drama centers on Screwtape, a senior demon who also happens to be Satan's top psychiatrist. Screwtape is played by the show's director-star Max McLean, who shines as earthly notions of morality get turned upside down and human souls are enticed to join "Our Father Below." Have a devilishly good time as The Screwtape Letters plays at Newmark Theatre.
This show is recommended for those age 13 or older.
