Portraits in Minutes's mission is to make getting professional photos as convenient as possible. Of course, the nationwide chain is aware that there's no easier method than snapping a few pics yourself with a smartphone—but it also knows that family portraits and milestone moments deserve more. That's why it staffs its locations, found in Walmart superstores throughout the country, with professional photographers trained in portraiture techniques such as lighting, natural posing, and capturing spontaneous smiles.

Then, once the photo shoot is completed, the photographer reviews the results with their client. The customer's selections are processed on site, whether that means simple tonal enhancements or extensive retouching and personalization. The images are then printed in a variety of sizes right there in the store, and they're usually ready in about 30 minutes—so you can pick up some groceries or celebratory lawn chairs in the meantime.
