In an era of fad diets and police-enforced carb-free zones, order guilt-free healthy pizzas or nosh on more traditional pies at Potomac Pizza. All four of Potomac's convenient locations—Chevy Chase, Potomac, Rockville, and Gaithersburg—offer a guilt-free, fat-free version of its signature tomato-and-cheese pie (no cheese, topped with fresh sliced tomatoes, broccoli, and mushrooms). In fact, you can make any of Potomac's pizzas guilt-free and sans cheese—a great option for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant, too.
If you're not on a health-kick, Potomac offers specialty pizzas galore with flaky, melt-in-your-mouth crusts, zesty sauce, and fresh toppings. Try the vegetable pizza (cheese, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, broccoli, and mushrooms) or the Nelson Eddie pizza (anchovies, black olives, Canadian bacon, green peppers, ground beef, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, and Italian sausage). Potomac also serves pasta, meat and vegetable calzones, a ton of salads on its garden menu, and a long list of subs and sandwiches.
Feel good about supporting Potomac Pizza because owner Adam Greenberg gives plenty back to the community. When opening the Chevy Chase location in 2006, Greenberg donated every penny of the first week's sales (not just profits) to local charities. He pays free visits to nearby schools to teach kids about tomatoes, cheese, pizza, and hygiene, and invites customers to sponsor fundraisers and silent auctions benefitting the community.

The Washington Post says Potomac's healthy pizzas roast the competition:
- Sure, you can get skim milk mozzarella at other places, and a lot of pizzerias make oil-free crusts. But not all come out as tasty and crisp as Potomac's... Adorned with fresh tomatoes, broccoli and mushrooms (before you add on), the pizza suggests an open-faced picnic focaccia. – Eve Zibart, The Washington Post
Two Yahoo! Local reviewers give Potomac Pizza an impressive 4.5-star average. Yelpers give Potomac 3.5 stars. Most of the Yelp complaints reference the slightly pricey pies, though customers say they frequent the place anyway. Good thing this Groupon cuts costs.
- Amazing service and great for families! If you work in the area they have efficent [sic] and quality service. – Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/09
- I continue to pay the slightly high price for Potomac Pizza not only because it's the only place that delivers here, but also because the pizza is really good. The toppings are always just right and the crust is great. – Shawn H., Yelp
- Excellent pizza and subs. Stick with simple. If you want a traditional Margherita pizza, this is the place to go. I like their Hawaiian, too. – Don L., Yelp
Pizza: An American Frightmare
Pizza, like hot-rod detailing and aviator sunglasses, is an immoral scourge of our nation. The physical effects of pizza are well known in the scientific community, and include impaired judgment and a loosening of moral character. As pizza purveyors spread their delicious sauce-topped dough around playgrounds and community events, more and more children become hooked on the exotic dish. Many parents are even sponsoring pizza parties for their teens, hoping that supervised use of pizza will prevent tragedies such as pizza-driving accidents. Remember, you are a role model: recreational use of pizza is imitated by impressionable children.

About Potomac Pizza
Potomac Pizza’s chefs toss and stretch fluffy, nonfat, and cholesterol-free dough into pizzas lauded by the Washington Post for “returning pizza to its good name” in a world of national chains. The DC-area pizzerias create each pie with freshly-made sauce and a selection of 24 toppings, such as grilled chicken, eggplant, feta cheese, and Canadian bacon. Potomac Pizza’s kitchens also whip up calzones, and other Italian specialties such as lasagna and veal parmesan, served in Potomac’s dining rooms or nestled into boxes for takeout and delivery orders.
