All four of Potomac's convenient locations—Chevy Chase, Potomac, Rockville, and Gaithersburg—offer a guilt-free, fat-free version of its signature tomato-and-cheese pie (no cheese, topped with fresh sliced tomatoes, broccoli, and mushrooms). In fact, you can make any of Potomac's pizzas guilt-free and sans cheese—a great option for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant, too.

If you're not on a health-kick, Potomac offers specialty pizzas galore with flaky, melt-in-your-mouth crusts, zesty sauce, and fresh toppings. Try the vegetable pizza (cheese, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, broccoli, and mushrooms) or the Nelson Eddie pizza (anchovies, black olives, Canadian bacon, green peppers, ground beef, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, and Italian sausage). Potomac also serves pasta, meat and vegetable calzones, a ton of salads on its garden menu, and a long list of subs and sandwiches.

Feel good about supporting Potomac Pizza because owner Adam Greenberg gives plenty back to the community. When opening the Chevy Chase location in 2006, Greenberg donated every penny of the first week's sales (not just profits) to local charities. He pays free visits to nearby schools to teach kids about tomatoes, cheese, pizza, and hygiene, and invites customers to sponsor fundraisers and silent auctions benefitting the community.

The Washington Post says Potomac's healthy pizzas roast the competition:

Two Yahoo! Local reviewers give Potomac Pizza an impressive 4.5-star average. Yelpers give Potomac 3.5 stars. Most of the Yelp complaints reference the slightly pricey pies, though customers say they frequent the place anyway. Good thing this Groupon cuts costs.

The physical effects of pizza are well known in the scientific community, and include impaired judgment and a loosening of moral character. Many parents are even sponsoring pizza parties for their teens, hoping that supervised use of pizza will prevent tragedies such as pizza-driving accidents. Remember, you are a role model: recreational use of pizza is imitated by impressionable children.
