Wendy was extremely helpful when teaching me how to create pottery. She is a talented artist, with patience and a kind person Her studio is tucked away off the street but not hard to find.

What You'll Get

Choose from Two Options

  • $62 for a two-part hands-on pottery and sculpture workshop for one ($125 value)
  • $122 for a two-part hands-on pottery and sculpture workshop for two ($250 value)

Workshops are held on Tuesday at 7 p.m., Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Each part of the workshop lasts for three hours. First, up to 10 people turn lumps of clay into any pottery piece their imagination can conjure before sculpting it with artistic finesse. A month later, after each piece has been dried and fired, the workshop resumes with a glazing session using potterypeace’s custom blends of colored glazes.

After all’s said and done, it will still take about a month before the pieces emerge from their final firing in the kiln, at which time each artist can return to potterypeace and pick up the finished piece to own forever.

About potterypeace

After training with several ceramic artists, Wendy Morris found her artistic voice in the medium of clay, which she believes echoes the beautiful unpredictability of life. Over years of study and practice as a professional artist, Wendy has created pieces big and small, from large-form sculptures to vases. She imbues each creation with her own personality—a skill she passes on to pupils in various classes that include clay sculpture as well as painting and drawing. Wendy has plenty of experience working with both children and adults, ensuring that every participant comes away from class with a unique piece capable of storing their one-of-a-kind marble collection.
