Eat healthy to help your body turn into a healthy body with healthy limbs and incredibly healthy shine with today’s Groupon. For $5, you get $10 worth of healthy food, juice, and smoothies at eco-dedicated PowerSource Café in San Francisco’s Financial District.
The food offered at PowerSource Café caters to the vegan, the vegetarian, the omnivore, and the hyper-fungivore. A family-owned and -operated business, PowerSource makes its food from scratch for the most part, which means no sinister, Japanese pancake-making robots. Midday meals include the PowerSource super food salad, which comes with Himalayan goji berries, hemp seed, shredded carrots, and broccoli sprouts over spinach with acai vinaigrette ($8.95), the nondairy wild pink salmon sandwich ($6.50), and organic tempeh with cucumber, avocado, and sprouts sandwich ($6.50). The extensive menu also includes a wide variety of fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, teas, and cookies.
Not only are you eating healthy at PowerSource, you’re supporting a SF Environment-Certified Green business. Compostable, biodegradable containers are made from sugar-cane pulp, cups from corn plastics, cutlery from potatoes, and the café is powered with renewable energy through a company called Village Green Energy. Start the New Year on the right track in regards to any resolutions involving eating healthier, being greener, or using more potato cutlery.
Yelpers give PowerSource Café four stars:
- Absolutely fabulous!! I only wish we had something like this in Seattle! Smoothies, juices. Salads made with help [sic] and gogi [sic] berries. Sandwiches made with spouted [sic] wheat bread- this place is absolutely fantastic. – Katie S.
- My default place when i tell myself i need to go into detox. Every time i order a shake or get their lunch box here, i feel good about myself internally and somewhat feel sexy again on the outside for the rest of the day... – Nick V.
- AMAZING!!! Healthy-delicious food, what?! I always thought that was an oxymoron, but I was wrong. Fresh juice and an organic chicken salad = yum! It's cool to know that everything is organic and locally-sourced. – Howard H.
