What You'll Get
Exercise keeps the body in peak condition, which explains the marbleized ThighMaster lying next to Michelangelo’s David. Enjoy an anatomical renaissance with today’s Groupon for boot-camp classes from PowerFit Bootcamp, with seven area locations in Arnold, Columbia, Fenton, and St. Louis. Choose between the following options:
- For $20, you get 10 boot-camp classes (a $140 value).
- For $30, you get 20 boot-camp classes (a $280 value). <p>
PowerFit Bootcamp’s staff encourages each student to persevere through one-hour boot-camp classes by crafting a motivational and high-energy atmosphere. Corralling men and women, instructors quarter each boot-camp session into 15-minute segments that are spent warming up, testing the upper body, strengthening the lower body, and, finally, cooling down. Scoff at the idea of monotony during PowerFit, which provides a fresh regimen for each session, slinging calisthenics, plyometric drills, running, and resistance-band training in shifting orders to stave off exercise plateaus and finally beat Simon Says at his own game. Trainers welcome workouters of all stripes, giving them a period of time to complete each move, rather than a number of repetitions, encouraging each student to do as much as he or she can without feeling uncomfortable, overexerting, or resorting to time travel. PowerFit’s classes meet for early morning and evening sessions six days a week at seven area locations.

About PowerFit Boot Camp, LLC
Even before he founded PowerFit Bootcamp, JR Spear always felt a calling to transform people into fitness machines. A fourth-degree black belt and studied martial artist, Spear spent years training future Marine Corps officers and Iraqi soldiers in self-defense and combat skills. Later, Spear taught his own MMA fitness and cardio-kickboxing classes, along with personal and group training sessions. At PowerFit Bootcamp, he and his staff of fitness instructors encourage each student to persevere by leading motivational and high-energy classes. At 14 indoor and outdoor locations, students undergo full-body workouts designed to jettison fat and tone muscle. Trainers welcome students of all stripes, giving them a period of time to complete each move, rather than a number of repetitions, encouraging each student to do as much as he or she can without feeling uncomfortable, overexerting, or resorting to time travel. Along the way, coaches track progress and motivate students by noting benchmarks during physical fitness tests on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month.
