What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? "Powerhouse Cycling" is a 45 minute beat-driven cycling class. Expect to burn 450+ calories per class! Inspirational instruction and intense movement will ensure that you work your hardest and remain energized throughout class! This class includes sprints, hill work, isolation movements, tap backs, jumps, "tabata" drills, intervals, and so much more. If you're looking for a monotonous class, this isn't for you. But if you're looking for true high intensity interval training, a full-body workout, and a cardio party on a bike, Powerhouse Cycling is exactly what you're looking for!
"Powerhouse Fit" is a 45 minute cardio, agility, and full-body strength-training circuit course designed to improve athletic capacity and condition! Each class begins with a 10 minute cardio warm up followed by a full-body circuit course that includes a variety of 30-45 second movements and timed recovery periods. This class is perfect for the individual who is looking to get in a fast but effective full-body workout designed to improve your glucose metabolism and fat-burning capacity!
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? I motivate my classes with my music selection and constant vocal encouragement! Sometimes I dance. I may perform the last few reps with them. Or I may simply switch to a better song to help my members PUSH. Every member and every class is different! So they require different types of motivation.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I graduated law school with a JD and an additional 50 lbs. A personal trainer changed my life shortly thereafter. I strive to be the same light in all of my members' lives as he was in mine. I strive to challenge all of my members to live healthier lifestyles. And have a BLAST while doing so.
What do you love most about your job? I love helping my members reach their goals!
