What You'll Get
Every golf course goes through a rebellious phase, sprouting water hazards, obnoxious sand traps, or an anchor tattoo on its back nine. Tame an entertainingly tempestuous course with today's Groupon: for $39, you get 18 holes of golf plus cart rental for two at Prairie View Golf Links in Worthington (up to an $83.36 value).
Prairie View Golf Links envelops golfers with prairie countryside, wetlands, green grasses, and gently undulating terrain. Prairie View's 18 holes are laid out in a traditional Scottish links design and nestled unobtrusively among the natural topography. Before hauling golf-ball tenderizers onto the par 71 course, players can warm up and find their rhythm on the practice green. The large greens, including a double green shared by holes 2 and 7 and manicured fairways, treat golfers to a mixture of serenity and challenges. With the provided cart rental, twosomes can whizz from one tee-off to the next in motorized glory instead of following age-old links traditions where the leader gets to ride on other golfers' backs.

About Prairie View Golf Links
Prairie View Golf Links guides golfers along a Scottish links-style course that wanders through prairie wetlands and rolling hills. Keeping with course architect Joel Goldstrand's vision from its opening in 1984, there are no trees to obstruct sight lines or hug unsuspecting humans in efforts to project their ideals of world peace. The open playing conditions tempt players to unleash full power off the tee, but a stream comes into play on hole nine, ready to swallow up errant golf balls. The flowing water splits hole four's fairway by length, forcing players to pick a side off the tee, like when twosomes must flip divots to decide who gets to ride on top of the golf cart. Players who can keep their shots on dry land enjoy taking aim at large greens, including an enormous double green that holds the flagsticks for holes two and seven, reminiscent of early Scottish designs.
