Cupcakes are so popular in America that the top three Internet searches are “cupcakes,” “hunky firemen,” and “hunky firemen kissing cupcakes.” Find what you’re really looking for with this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $15 for one dozen Celebration cupcakes (a $30 value), with cake and frosting available in vanilla or chocolate
- $30 for a cupcake-decorating class for one (a $60 value)
- $199 for a three-hour Glamorous Cafe Party for up to 10 kids (a $400 value)
Patrons can pick up 12 completed cupcakes or snag a spot at one of three classes to fashion their own. Class 101 broaches fundamental icing and decorating techniques, whereas Class 102: The Art of Fondant covers how to craft inspired fondant for crowning cupcakes. In Class 103, the cupcake connoisseur teaches students how to pair the desserts with gourmet meals. Parties at the shop incorporate the mini treats into one of three themes: pretty-princess, doll, or tea party. The themed hostess takes care of all decor and serves up 12 cupcakes and a full meal to partygoers. She also provides a themed activity and craft as well as a gift for the birthday girl and goodie bags for guests. Finally, she snaps a group photo to commemorate the bash.
Pretty Girl Cupcakery
Real-estate agent LaKisa Taylor may have been a longtime whiz in the business of brokering homes, but brokering cupcakes began as a hobby. As a thank-you to clients and potential buyers, LaKisa would bake and decorate batches of the confectionary delights. Her sweet tooth and background in event planning eventually propelled the pastime into a full-fledged career when she dreamed up Pretty Girl Cupcakery, named for her still-flourishing real-estate campaign, Pretty Girl County. Inside the shop's recently opened doors, LaKisa and her staff bake treats fresh each morning in an atmosphere more welcoming than a doormat carved from peanut brittle. Their classic menu keeps it simple with chocolate and vanilla, double chocolate and vanilla, half and half, and red-velvet cakes topped with rich buttercream frosting.
LaKisa and her team spread their passion for edible artistry at classes that broach subjects such as basic frosting techniques and crafting fondant that deliciously embellishes cakes. They also host themed bashes at the bakery, enveloping birthday kids and their guests in a world of pretty princesses or doll and tea parties.
