Primo’s hand-tossed pizza crusts and eclectic mix of toppings have earned the eatery a top spot on Thrillist’s list of best pizza in 15 different Seattle neighborhoods. Chefs first cover crusts with a traditional red sauce, pesto sauce, roasted garlic cream sauce, or olive oil. The next layer of toppings might include everything from Italian fennel sausage and prosciutto to pickled peppers and smoked chicken. Classic mozzarella mixes and mingles with other cheeses, such as parmesan, fontina, and goat cheeses. The chefs also whip up plates of three-cheese-and-bacon macaroni and cheese and parmesan garlic bread to round out the panoply of comfort foods. Primo’s specialty cocktails treat palate’s to a whole new set of flavors, such as the Salty Dog’s mix of vodka and grapefruit topped with a pinch of salt.
