What You'll Get
The Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, led by acclaimed local conductor Beatrice Affron, honors some of America's greatest composers with a program of works including George Gershwin's "Lullaby" and Aaron Copland's "Quiet City." American Idols, performed in the intimate space of the First Baptist Church in Newton, showcases the greatness of orchestral music written by American composers. The orchestra will play selections from Barber, David Diamond and Irvine Fine, and debut a piece commissioned from local composer Thomas Oboe Lee, which is based on the Greek mythological maiden Daphne.
