Q:

After the promotional period of one month has expired, does the bill go up to the normal rate, or will you continue the discounted rate to groupon customers?

Lisa G.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

After the promotional period, the bill returns to the normal rate. The normal rate depends on volume you purchase. If 10 lbs seems to be too much or too less, it can be adjusted. The cost is $2/lb for conventional and $2.50/lb organic which is very compareable to grocery store prices. Only difference is you are getting it delivered, and the quality of fruit is much better! If you are a larger company and do more than the standard 10 lb package, the price per pound decreases depending on volume because I'm able to cut down on delivery costs. Also, the price can be adjusted a little if you aren't wanting the use of a cooler. My advice would be to try the month out that you get with this promotion, and towards the end of the month. If you like our services, we can sit down and figure out what is best for your company and how we can make it work! Thanks!

Q:

My workplace does not permit small refrigerators (energy savings that began this year); do you have other options (use of a cooler?, delivery to a home address instead?).

Louise A.  asked on  Dec 31, 2012

A:

The use of the cooler that we provide is completely otional to use. Some of my current customers just use the community refrigerator in the break room. Some put the fruits in a bowl that is left on the counter since they have no problems goingi through the fruit in a week period. We currently don't deliver to homes. This new service of ours is to promote healthy eating in the workplace and being involved with a businesses wellness program. E-mail me shane@profarmproduce.com and depending on your location of residency, I might be able to work something out with you. Thanks!

Q:

What constitutes "fresh, local fruit" in January, February, March, and April? What fruits will I see?

Kate W.  asked on  Dec 31, 2012

A:

During the winter months we just offer multiple varieties of apples since they're the only fruit we are able to store. We have been delivering 1-3 varieties weekly changed every week. The apples come from the Yakima Valley which constitutes the local. They don't come from any foreign countries. If you get on our website we have a list of the fruits and what time of the year you can expect them. www.profarmproduce.com/healthy.html ...Thanks!

Q:

I see this program is designed for businesses. Do you offer this or something similar for households?

Carey B.  asked on  Dec 31, 2012

A:

At this time, we do not offer it to households. Depending on your location or residence, I may be able to work something out if you're interested in our fruit. We do offer a CSA program during the summer months, and also located at numerous farmers' markets around the area. E-mail me shane@profarmproduce.com with your area of residency and I can determine if there is something we can work out. Thanks.
