What You'll Get
Without carpets, children would have to turn to eel wrangling for their static-shock thrills. Keep your statically charged floor coverings tidy with today's Groupon: for $59, you get a carpet cleaning for up to three rooms (312 sq. ft. total) from Professional Carpet Systems (a $125 value). Groupon customers will also receive 10% off any additional cleaning or service charges.
The ace cleaning crew from Professional Carpet Systems sanitizes and cleans deep into the fibers of dirtied carpets using a hot-water-extraction method. Pretreated, presoftened water set at 208 degrees, the same temperature as the sun’s surface, wets carpets with a formula that dries in two to eight hours, removing traces of cleaning product and preserving a carpet's softness. If requested, stain extractors can accelerate the drying time by setting blowers, turning on ceiling fans, and borrowing hair dryers from high-maintenance sheepdogs in the neighborhood. Three hundred twelve square feet is about three 10’x10’ bedrooms or one 15’x20’ turtle-racing arena.
Though not included in the price of this Groupon, customers can also opt for the children- and pet-safe Green Guard carpet protector, which is applied after cleaning and then raked in to evenly distribute throughout the carpet. Check the Professional Carpet Systems website for service areas.

About Professional Carpet Systems
Joe and John Lunsford wanted to find a way to extend the life of carpets, which often showed their age through stains and discoloration, so they turned to their chemist mother, Jean Beason, for guidance. Her system of on-location carpet dying—which she perfected during years of research, development, and carefully planned carpet-store heists—eventually led them to start Professional Carpet Systems in 1978.
As the Lunsford's startup grew to 75 locations worldwide, they switched their focus to carpet cleaning, using pH-balanced rinsing agents and a rapid-drying system. Now, the IICRC-certified firm also offers spot and odor removal, upholstery cleaning, and allergy-relief treatments backed by a 200% guarantee: if the customer isn’t satisfied with the treatment, Professional Carpet Systems will issue a full refund and pay for re-cleaning by a different company.
