What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Project Green Environmental Solutions provides energy-efficiency audits for local small businesses, handles all rebate paperwork, and performs the installation for your project. Our roots are working with small-business owners and understanding their unique needs.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Project Green began in 2011 as the result of the founder, Michael Holmes, earning a national award from a joint effort in designing a thermal-recapture system for commercial kitchens. It made sense to spin off from the air-filtration business at that time.

What do you love most about your job?
It is hard to limit the love of this work to just one. Energy efficiency helps the environment. It helps business owners save money in both energy use and maintenance because today's products last longer and are superior in many other ways as well. I am very grateful to be in this industry.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
A lot of small businesses are underlit, especially nonprofit businesses. One of our clients was actually in tears when she saw the completed work and sent a heartfelt introduction of us to her entire network.
