Project Zen

Project Zen aims to provide a serene sanctuary where clients can complement Western medicinal regimes with Eastern healing practices that coordinate internal harmony with preventative massage services. Stepping inside the spa, clients will notice its rich red tapestries and bright gold pillows, which exude an opulence matched only by drinking red wine out of a solid gold sippy cup. Project Zen, like its sister spa in Thailand, pampers patrons and aims to improve their overall wellness with treatments such as Japanese shiatsu, a brand of acupressure involving languid thumb, palm, knee, and feet strokes. In addition, an in-house line of bath and body products blended from coconut oil and flowers are used during deep-tissue and Swedish massages.

Customer Reviews

Great experience! The first true deep tissue massage I've ever had. I'm 6' 200 lbs and work in construction. I'm pretty tight and most massages I've had felt superficial. Not this one. Will definitely return!

My friend and I were visiting SF for a girls weekend and we wanted to get massages. We looked up Project Zen through Groupon and decided to walk by to see how it checked out. We found it easily and walked in to see if they had two available appointments using the Groupon. The girl at the front desk was VERY accommodating and worked it out for us to come back the next day for 90 minute massages! We were both very relaxed and satisfied with our massage (one Thai massage and one deep tissue). Our therapists each worked 100% for the entire 90 minutes. We left feeling great! I will definitely return to Project Zen next time I am in San Fran.
