Third Degree Glass Factory, a haven of the glass arts, will heat up with glass-blowing demonstrations, burlesque dancers, and fire-spinning entertainment during the first annual Pumpkin Patch Ball. Artists and appreciators of the flame-curled arts can sip smoking witch's brews as they browse the glass pumpkin patch, a garden of colorful glass-blown pumpkins, gourds, and bowling balls as interpreted by talented artists from around the city. Fire spinners will light up the atmosphere with juggled flames, jaws will drop as burlesque performers shimmy through the ball, and aerial performances will entertain from above to totally immerse visitors in spectacle. Gala attendees can purchase light snacks (under $10) and drinks from the cash bar, and browse the pumpkin patch for a festive centerpiece to purchase, take home as a raffle prize, or re-create at home using only an oven, a drainpipe, and several old vases.
