Though overall, my children had a fun time, we were disappointed by a few things. Firstly, the rides were only being operated intermittently, which, after riding one thing, left us looking around for something to do next. Yes, there were quite a few bounce houses, but my kids were only interested in them for a few minutes. Not such a big deal, but we bought quite a few tickets thinking we'd have lots to use them on, and actually only had an opportunity to use them a few times. Secondly, the hay pyramid was dilapidated, punkin chunkin was not available, and the petting zoo animals were present, but inaccessible. Again, not such a big deal, but tickets were purchased in anticipation of being able to use them on these things. (Yes, the hay pyramid is free, but would have been fun in the absence of other things.) Lastly, and most annoyingly because there is some deception-by-omission with this one. The groupon coupons were not redeemable for food or pumpkins, but this was NOT specified at the time of purchase. Again, buying food with coupons (as is described on your website) was taken into account when we purchased the groupon vouchers. It wasn't until we arrived to redeem our groupon vouchers that we were informed our coupons were only good for rides; many of which were not operating. I appreciate the fact that you do this to benefit a charity, and that you have free parking and some free activities. There were some indications that you have Christian affiliations, which, as a Christian, I also appreciate. I hope that not mentioning the restricted use of the Groupon coupons (rides only, not food or pumpkins) was simply an oversight and not intentional deception. Since we arrived with inflated expectations, we left hungry, disappointed and with a pocket full of unused tickets. We might go again next year, but with lower expectations.

What You'll Get

A recently discovered alternative to the indoors, going "outside" offers adventurous explorers exposure to things such as wind, sunshine, and the naturally occurring mazes found in cornfields. Leave the indoors with today's Groupon: for $8, you get 20 game and ride tickets at Pumpkin Village in Flower Mound (a $20 value).

A hub of autumnal activity that donates all profits to charity, Pumpkin Village entertains families with a fleet of kid-friendly rides and games. Free hay rides trek through rustic scenery, navigating around a towering hay pyramid and passing furry friends at the free petting zoo. A tractor tows petite cars for a jaunt on a children’s barrel train (three tickets/child); rides are also available on a jaunty ferris wheel (three tickets/child) or the warm back of a pony (three tickets/child), providing little ones with both bird’s-eye and pony’s-eye views of the scenery.

About Pumpkin Village Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Village Pumpkin Patch opens its fields each October, welcoming visitors for manifold fall activities. Admission and hayrides are always free, and activity tickets grant families access to additional amusements, with all profits going to charity. After roaming the pumpkin patch or riding one of the farm's friendly ponies, guests can stop and launch a pumpkin at the Punkin Chunkin station for a chance at a prize, depending on where the gourd lands on the target or on the farm's ferris wheel. A petting zoo allows kids to get up close and personal with new furry friends, and a picnic area invites human companions to rest and refuel with fall-themed refreshments.
