About Pungo Ridge Winery

Pungo Ridge Winery started out with only 50 cases of blackberry wine when they opened their doors in 2010. Today, the winery produces over a dozen country wines made from locally grown fruits, half of which are grown on their five-acre estate. Here, winemakers ferment these fruits in stainless steel tanks while adding a small amount of residual sugars to maintain their sweetness.

Here's a look at some of their wines:

  • Blackberry Wine: a crisp and lightly sweet wine with gentle notes of violet and blackberry, best served chilled

  • Pear Wine: a delicate, light wine made straight from the pears grown on Pungo's farm

  • Blueberry Wine: similar to a merlot, this semi-dry wine takes on a red grape profile
