If you're health conscious, you should visit Purple Sprout in Wheeling. This cafe has freshly made Raw/cooked food, juices, and an assortment of delicious raw desserts. Everything is healthy and organic. A nice grab and go! I recommend this place to everyone, especially to those who are looking for a restaurant with fresh and healthy food in a charming atmosphere.

I love Purple Sprout! The food is absolutely delicious, good sized portions and reasonably priced for amazing all organic vegan fare. Try the chickpea veggie crepes, the soups, the specials, the burrito, and save room for the gluten-free chocolate pecan waffle, it is heaven! I love that I can eat anything and everything here! Such a gem of a restaurant, for vegans and non-vegans alike. I love it!

The family-run Purple Sprout Cafe was first conceived after family members began to suffer from health ailments. After conventional medicine failed, the solution to their health problems was as simple as switching to a plant-based diet.
Now, the Purple Sprout Cafe serves wholesome, tasty meals that emphasize nutrition, energy composition, and seasonality. Dishes are either made raw, or cooked healthily with minimal oil and gluten. Such nutritious examples include cashew basil pizza, which offers nuts, veggies, and dates as substitute for flour and cheese, or falafel with sunflower sour cream, which sees spiced balls of dehydrated nuts and seeds served with sunflower cream.
