Joe Putnam was born during the Great Depression on a South Dakota farm, where he learned the importance of a strong work ethic. Building on those early lessons, he began a career in automotive retailing, selling Fords, Buicks, and Cadillacs at three dealerships in three different states. Eventually he struck out on his own and opened Putnam Lexus in 1989 as an original charter Lexus Dealer. Today, his son Marty continues that tradition by selling high-performance sedans, SUVs, and hybrids to customers across the region. Joe and the Putnam family have been selling cars in the Bay Area for over 50 years
