If you have never gotten waxed before it can definitely be intimidating and can also be than a little scary. But, the results are truly way than shaving. At the end of the day, no one wants unsightly facial hair. At P Valley Waxing Co. we want everyone to have the look they desire without irritation or negative reactions.
Pre-Wax Tips
Exfoliate 48 hours before the wax. Avoid drinking coffee before wax which can increase sensitivity. Avoid coming in close to the cycle, this can make sense as well. If you are on cycle and need a wax, be sure to wear a tampon to the appointment. Length of hair should be at least 1/4" (think a grain of rice). From a fresh shave 14 days is growth for most.
Post Wax
Waxing every 4 weeks will reduce pain (or 5-6 weeks if hair grows at a slower pace.) Exfoliate 2-3 times a week stopping two days before the next wax. Use an ingrown hair treatment 1-2 times a day. 24-48 hours post-wax avoid working out, swimming of any kind. For nourishment use all natural products such as raw shea butter. Avoid the beach for 72 hours and do not shave in between waxes.
