Q:

I have a 2004 Honda accord coupe .. I recently took the tint film off of all my windows but I still have very small streaks of film left over on my very back window.. If I get this deal would I have to pay extra to get those little streaks of tint film off fully of my back window?

Hello Lanisha, this is a great question and we get this all the time. Removal of old film without the proper tools is fairly difficult and we don't recommend that you try this yourself and here is why. When you remove the first layer of film, especially old film, there is still the glue that has to come off and without the proper blades and scrapers that glue does not come off easily and can take some time for our tinter to remove the old glue. If that window film isn't properly removed then the new film will not stay on. So to answer your question, there will more than likely be a charge for stripping the back window and we will try to save a rear defroster if one is present. This will have to be analyzed by the manager at the store doing the work and he will give you a price on removing anything still left on your windows.

Q:

I have a 1999 Honda Civic 4-door that needs the existing clouded tinting removed from the rear window and new tinting applied. Could you provide an estimate for this one window, and comment whether the Groupon deal would apply? Thanks.

Thomas S.  asked on  Oct 31, 2012

A:

Typically a back glass tint job is $50 so the groupon deal with cover the price of tinting the back glass, but the voucher does not apply to removal of old film and to remove the old fim will be $50. So your total would be the $40 for the Groupon voucher and $50 for the stripping of the old film of the back glass which would be $90
