About The Queen Mary
Since its maiden voyage in 1936, The Queen Mary has transported iconic figures from Winston Churchill to Fred Astaire across the ocean blue, and it even helped transport troops during World War II. Now at home in the Port of Long Beach, the venerable ship pairs art-deco trappings with stunning Pacific Ocean views. Guests can also walk through where Churchill planned the infamous D-Day concept—the Cabinent and Map Room. This exhibit also features reproductions of the bunker designed for the film Darkest Hour.
The onboard hotel recreates transoceanic luxury in her 346 staterooms (which include 9 full suites). Guests here often make multiple trips to onsite restaurants, such as the award-winning Sir Winston’s and Chelsea Chowder House & Bar, as well as appearances at the weekly Champagne Sunday Brunch served in the ship’s Grand Salon.
