What You'll Get
Mood rings offer convenient color-coded glimpses into our emotional states: red indicates stress, yellow suggests blinding rage, and green means rich in vitamins, cellulose, and fiber. Enhance emerald shades in gemstones with today's Groupon: for $8, you get $16 worth of organic vegetarian and vegan fare at Radiance Cuisine, located inside Open Secret Bookstore in San Rafael. Radiance Cuisine is open Wednesday–Saturday from noon to 7 p.m.
Radiance Cuisine's experienced chefs harness the powers of Himalayan salt and freshly ground spices to transform local and organic produce into scintillating, seasonal vegan and gluten-free dishes. Large, purple Radiance plates act as meeting spots in which utensils coerce salads, grains, and veggies to follow them into a grotto of pearly whites, as a bowl of soup merely looks on from the side ($12, small; $15, large). Patrons can alternatively gnaw on a tight mound of grains encircled with farmers'-market-fresh vegetables and soup, conveniently packed together in the yogi bowl ($7, small; $10, large).
Nutrient-rich fare showcased on plates and in bowls can also be ordered à la carte, granting diners more food-related flexibility than they can obtain at Chef Boyardee's Pilates studio. Radiance Cuisine also sweetly concludes meals with desserts such as coconut-milk tapioca pudding sweetened with pure maple syrup ($3, small; $5, large) and garbanzo-chocolate fudge, made vegan friendly and in-house with coconut oil and coconut butter ($2.50).
