Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

Do you recommend teeth cleaning with the teeth white is if I haven't had my teeth cleaned for 2 years? Thanks, Robin Martin

Robin M.  asked on  Jun 7, 2012

A:

Hi Robin, Great question, getting your teeth whitened is a completly different procedure then getting them professionally cleaned. Regardless of the amount of time since your last cleaning it is ok to whiten, (as long as they are your natural teeth, natural teeth meaning no caps, crowns, veneeers or fillings in your front 6-8 teeth on top and bottom) those are the only teeth that are treated for whitening. Thanks, Radiant Smiles

Q:

Hello, Could you please list what the $139 option includes. I was confused when it states above package. Thanks. Jeremy

Jeremy B.  asked on  Jun 7, 2012

A:

Hi Jeremy, sure would be glad to explain the $139.00 package. Basically the $139.00 option includes the following: 1 Comprehensive Examination (30mins), 1 Full set of X-rays (25mins, 18 x-rays), 1 regular cleaning (50mins prophylaxis official name of cleaning), & 1 Hour in office whitening procedure (1hr 20mins). I went ahead and not only gave you a detailed description but also a time approximation that can vary by individual, but for the most part a good average. We try our best to accomodate all our patients to their needs but we find it best to split up the package into 2 visits so the appointment doesnt turn into 4 hours of the day.

More Questions and Answers

Q:

Is this the Phillips Sonicare Zoom whitening? How long does it take? Why is it required that a cleaning and xrays be performed prior to the Zoom treatment?

Mercedes A.  asked on  Jun 8, 2012

A:

For the office on W Sahara it is Zoom, for the other 2 mentioned it is a power whitening which is very similar to Zoom. The procedure takes just a little over an hour about 1 hr and 20 min. It is required to get the x-rays prior to the whitening so that we may properly evaluate your teeth for any potential complications with the whitening and to confirm your a good candidate (although most people are). Its is strongly recommended not required to get the cleaning prior to the whitening simply because the hygienist may be able to address any stains in your mouth by removing them prior to your whitening or help determine if they will be removed with the whitening. Hope that Helps. Radiant Smiles
