Basel Natour's family has dedicated decades to feeding the masses. According to the Knoxville News Sentinel Natour's parents have operated local restaurants since the 1970s, and both of his brothers own casual family eateries in the Knoxville area. At Rami's Cafe, he continues this family tradition, serving classic southern comfort foods for both breakfast and lunch. Specialties include biscuits and gravy and full country breakfasts piled high with ham, eggs, home fries, and toast. As midday approaches, the orders for buttermilk pancakes and three-egg omelets give way to requests for 8-ounce burgers and lunchtime specials such as homemade meatloaf.
