Choose Between Two Options

  • $49 for an afternoon salmon- or cod-fishing trip for one ($80 value)
  • $59 for an afternoon salmon- or cod-fishing trip for one with rental rod, tackle, and a burlap sack ($100 value)

Trips last four–five hours. You can bring along a small cooler with snacks and drinks (beer is allowed, but no hard liquor or beverages in glass bottles).

About Randy's Fishing Trips and Whale Watching

Around Fisherman's Wharf, the name Randy has been associated with whales for more than 65 years. Salvatore "Randy" Randazzo opened up Randy's Fishing and Whale Watching Trips in 1945, and his legacy lives on today aboard the Chubasco and Sur Randy. Along with their crews, these two vessels take passengers out on fishing charters and sightseeing tours into the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, where whales often hang out and swap favorite krill recipes. Captains narrate the tours as blue whales, grey whales, humpbacks, minkes, and other aquatic giants breach the surface. Even sea otters and dolphins make appearances.

Other members of the Randy's crew lead sports fishing expeditions out in search of salmon, crab, rock cod, and halibut. The experts give instruction as needed, and they'll even filet the fish once caught.
