It was amazing! They are friendly, safe, informative, and patient. We saw 3 types of whales and it was incredible.

One the most exciting tour experiences I've had! The boat was right on schedule, the standing room was comfortable, the tour guide was knowledgeable & didn't talk to much or too little. We saw a mega-pod of over 1,000 dolphins!! It was an incredible experience. On the trip back to the harbor we spotted a grey whale & her calf, and the captain wheeled the boat around and gave us addition time to enjoy & photograph the encounter. The crew seemed to be really enjoying their work & interested in making the ride a positive experience for all. Out of 10, this experience & business gets a 12!! Looking forward to our next ride.

Great whale watching trip. They knew just where to find the whales. The boat left late, because the previous tour was late. But they still gave us our three hours, and they were well worth it!

What You'll Get

Despite their massive size, whales can be hard to spot due to their ability to camouflage themselves with walrus mustaches and porthole monocles. Learn to see through watery disguises with this Groupon.

  • $40 for a whale-watching cruise for two (up to a $90 value)<p>

Seafarers board the Ranger 85 to spot aquatic life gliding around the waters of Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary. Throughout the three-hour tours, passengers lean against the railing of the 85-foot ocean liner’s wraparound deck while scanning the currents for fauna such as whales, sea lions, sharks, and dolphins. Seabirds flutter in and out of view, and recorded narration educates voyagers on the differences between gray, humpback, pilot, and orca whales, including which pet names they’re more likely to respond to. Excursions include a shoreline tour of one of the Channel Islands, just a few miles from the coast, with additional narration that explores the islands’ history.
