Q:

I have three short videotapes which I'd like transferred to ONE DVD as the tapes are all on same subject and I'd like to put them altogether. . Can you do this? Together all three total less that two hours in length. Would this require one or three vouchers?? Thanks. Barb Y.

Barbara Y.  asked on  Nov 12, 2012

A:

Thanks for your interest. From the merchant:

"The $8 groupon is per tape up to 2hrs long. It does not matter to us if the tape is 4 minutes long or 1hr 59 minutes. We priced the groupon very aggressively so that customers do not have to sort through tapes or pick through what they want or not want to transfer. If you have more than 10 tapes you would like to transfer, then you can call us directly and we will help you with your purchase. We do not transfer to a memory key. The transfer goes directly to DVD. Thank you Steve"

Hope that helps!

Hi there, What if any VHS tape is not fully taped. Do you charge $8 per VHS tape or does the same charge apply to 2 hours of conversion regardless of the number of VHS tapes. Also can you transfer to a UBS memory key? Thanks, victor

Q:

I would like to know when you are converting them do you see any of the footage?or gets saved into your system? As privacy is very important to me

Ran F.  asked on  Nov 10, 2012

A:

Hi Ran, your privacy is important to us too. To explain, our process is automated. We insert the tape, make sure it plays and has some content and then let it run its course. We do not save anything but we may see some of the footage. Thank you Steve

Q:

Hello, If the VHS that you would like transferred is over 2 hours how much extra is it. As well, if I want 5 DVDs made of one VHS should I buy 5 vouchers? Thank you

Amy W.  asked on  Nov 9, 2012

A:

Hello Amy. If you think your tape may be up to 4hrs long, then you can buy 2 vouchers. But if you're not sure, we can charge you the same additional amount at the store level. For the Duplicates, we can also charge you just the duplicating fee here at the store level. Its cheaper than buying the groupon for the duplicates. Just buy the original groupon for each individual tape you need transferred. Thanks, steve

Q:

How long does it take from drop off to pick up? Does your process damage the original VHS tape? How would I know if there is a "copyblock" on the tape? One tape I have is mine and is video of me and my friends from waaaaay back, but I recall the person that did the video saying that he put a protection on it, so that if a copy is attempted it does not work and it erases the tape. We were really mad at the time, since this was our tape. Can you advise on this? Thanks

M  asked on  Nov 9, 2012

A:

Thanks for the question. Depending on how many you have and how busy we are, we can usually get things done in a couple days. You don't know about copyblock unless it says it on the tape or when you play it. Copy block does not erase the tape. Whoever did the transfer for you last time might have erased it by accident and didn't want to tell you. We can avoid copy block for a additional fee. Thanks.
