What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
The best group fitness on the planet! 100+ different unique proprietary no-gimmick workouts! Monday through Friday at 5am, 6am, 8:30am and 9:30am and Saturday at 8am. Plus Yoga daily at 8:30am! High Intensity Interval Training mixed with agility, mobility and strength training. Workouts design Focus work on either Upper Body, Legs, Abs, Natural Movement or Cardio. The next day, a different focus and a different workout! Just show up, our coaches guide you. You work! All fitness levels, all shapes and sizes, just bring your highest and best effort! Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
We sought to be the best small group fitness classes anywhere. Period. A few years back we found there were way too many fitness gimmicks and short term trends that were not effectively helping people be more fit and perform at their highest level while actually having fun. We decided to focus on natural and basic movements while increasing intensity and found it was much better on our client's joints and they recovered quicker, which became more effective for maintaining long-term fitness. We learned most of what we do from The World's Fittest Man in the Guinness Book, Joe Decker, our mentor. We looked around Loomis and for miles around and there was nothing that combined interval training with an outdoor emphasis and nothing helped athletes increase their speed, agility, strength and range of motion, without getting sucked into some sort of gimmick or fad ideaology. If a gym was doing good stuff, often they had tons of injured clients or it was an intimidating environment. Or, a personal trainer could do it well for one client- for $50 per session. When we knew we could create dozens of workouts that combined simple solutions in a fun and dynamic way, we knew it was something we wanted to share at a price that people could benefit from. People can't believe that we are just in this little town of Loomis off Swetzer Rd. Small and Family-owned! We've grown from 2 clients to 200. Every day we learn ways to improve and offer new and fun stuff and are in a constant pursuit to maintain our small town non-corporate vibe.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Our coaches are accomplished collegiate or professional athletes and compete and train for crazy hobbies or events. Yet, we don't care what fitness level or clients are at - we coach Olympians to collegiate athletes to Moms and Dads deciding to make a positive change in their lives. We have the best clients with no egos; there's no 'cliques' and we're all focused on just making a change in our respective worlds one hour a day. It's an honor to be a part of so many transformations and we just want to help more people. There are so many amazing families that cross daily through our doors!
What do you love most about your job?
The best reaction we've gotten from a client is, "I had no idea of the fitness journey I would be on after just showing up to Raw Fit and then coming a few times every week. I'm in the best shape I've been in in 10 years. I feel great. People say, 'I've got a glow. I just tell em 'I just do work at Raw Fit!'
