Reading Athletic Club arms the active with an arsenal of muscle-buttressing workout routines. Military-style boot-camp classes sculpt bodyscapes into replicas of Michelangelo’s David or Picasso’s Megan Fox in the fresh-air-laden outdoors. In heart-pounding 60-minute sessions, certified personal trainers help fitness-seekers shed excess baggage and build lean muscles with cardiovascular, endurance, speed, and strength-training exercises, along with ample stretching to ensure that bodies have a fighting chance against Gumby’s protégés in the Twister Olympics.
Outdoor classes run, push-up, and lift Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., but clients who cannot attend at that time can instead opt to whip bodies into shape in indoor boot-camp classes. Check out the schedule for a full listing of boot-camp times. Participants should bring water and a towel.
The last outdoor bootcamp session will be held on October 29, 2011. Customers will need to attend their first session by September 24, 2011 to redeem six outdoor sessions.
