What You'll Get
Musicians subsist not only on the energy of their audience, but also on their passion for live performance and the approval of an arcane, beard-stroking guitarist nodding sagely from the wings. Seek your own melodious muse with today's Groupon: for $29, you get one general-admission ticket to Recycled Percussion at the Tropicana Las Vegas (a $61 value). Performances run Fridays–Mondays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m.
America's Got Talent contestant Recycled Percussion raucously entertains with an inspired, rapid-fire melody-fest that incorporates unconventional instruments and audience interaction. Boasting an eclectic assortment of plastic pails, five-gallon drums, ladders, and curiously melodic metal matter fused with electric guitar and a turntable, the band churns out classic rock ‘n’ roll sure to please riff-loving music lovers. Not just an aural experience, each show shimmers with spark-inducing effects and flashing lights, as well as the eye-blurring athleticism of musicians spastically leaping from instrument to sandwich to instrument and back again. Guests are given a pair of drumsticks and a recycled object so they can play along with the musicians and practice for their audition for Queen Elizabeth's new acid-rock band. Each ticket includes an alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage.
