At Red River Gorge Zipline, adventurers dart across the gorge during a two-hour canopy tour on a course constructed according to ACCT safety standards. Five ziplines crisscross various bird jurisdictions, delivering flightless humans at speeds up to 50 miles per hour along aerial cables that range from 330 feet to more than 1,900 feet in length. ACCT-trained guides supervise each ride, ensuring the safety of harnesses before releasing zipliners 250 feet above the gorge. Participants must weigh between 70 pounds and 250 pounds to ride, and should be prepared to hike, climb stairs, and take in enough oxygen to trill a complete loon song.

About Red River Gorge Off-Road Tour

Suspended up to 250 feet above the Kentucky wilderness and stretching up to 1,900 feet long, Red River Gorge's five ziplines web out across its namesake ravine and Daniel Boone National Forest. Harnessed visitors clamber up to platforms and across sky bridges for a pterodactyl's-eye view that greets them during two- or three-hour zipline canopy tours. The final two legs of the tour are dual racing lines, where riders zoom at up to 50 miles per hour. Explorers can also traverse the wild in the comfort of a U.S. Army hummer during off-road tours, which wind through the Kentucky mountains with seasoned guides behind the wheel.
