Red Square Euro Bistro
Red Square Euro Bistro treats visitors to contemporary European cuisine and vodka—lots and lots of vodka. Bartenders have at their disposal more than 100 frozen vodkas from all over the world, as well as infused elixirs ranging from raspberry and honey to horseradish and dill.
On the food menu, diners find the concentrated flavors of eastern Europe: smoked steak tartare with pickled onions and confit egg yolk, herring and potatoes, aged duck with black trumpet mushrooms. Rather than hiring magicians to make the meat from such dishes disappear, Red Square plays with its vegetables and comes up with interesting creations such as grilled cauliflower steak and beet-chestnut agnolotti.
While the menu is concise, the dining room displays a taste for drama. Light shines from fixtures resembling industrial fans, undersea light forms, and carnival signs, casting a glow on intense red walls, art in heavy frames, and lots of chrome. For a lighter vibe, there's a sidewalk patio, shaded by red umbrellas, naturally.
