Red1 Studios captain Jordan Michael Zuniga captures flattering portraits in a 1,100-square-foot working space complete with two open-air balconies that overlook Midtown and Biscayne Bay. During the one-hour session, subjects explore the bright white studio, peering out floor-to-ceiling windows or curling up in white bubble chairs as the shutterbug arranges professional lighting setups. Clients can also bring their own props or set pieces, from cherished trophies to beloved pianos. Models can wear up to two different outfits to show off different sides of their personalities, and Jordan provides hair and makeup referrals if needed (not included in today’s Groupon).
Proofs pop up online within three days of the shoot. Clients then choose two photos to be retouched and transferred onto one 8”x10” print, two 5”x7” prints, and a photo CD that makes it easy to post the two images on Facebook or the CIA company directory. Additional photos are also available ($15 not retouched; $25 retouched).
Origin Stories: A Picture of Charity
Raised by a camera-wielding father and a paintbrush-bearing mother, Jordan Michael Zuniga was submerged in visual artistry from the moment he tumbled into the world. He founded Red1 Studios in 2010 as an affordable space where artists could incubate their ideas, and it has since blossomed into a fully-equipped fashion photography studio. Red1does double duty as a headquarters for charity and celebrity events, such as an exhibit for PETA. Jordan's favorite part of photography is finding the beauty in his ever-changing clientele.
