Before he was a pizza master, a renowned rock boutique whose leather jackets have graced the shoulders of bands from X to the Misfits. Although his shop was located in the Valley, his heart remained in New York, where the riffs are big and the pizzas even bigger. Eventually, Vieira decided to marry his two loves. Thus Rock & Roll Pizza was born, decked out with concert memorabilia, rocker-themed bar stools, and a stage that's been graced by the likes of the Foo Fighters.

Vieira oversees a team of cooks—many of whom were born on the pizza-friendly East Coast—who produce faithful recreations of the gargantuan New York–style pizzas of his memories. Made from scratch and named after New York's iconic neighborhoods, the pizzas include staples such as tomato and basil or sausage and pepperoni. But the rock 'n' roll pizza parlor also makes room for local influences: for instance, incorporates pasilla chilies, serrano peppers, and jalapeños.
